Thoughts On Money For 2010

Since 2010 will be here before you know it have you given any thought to how you are going to start or change a money habit for the new year. What I mean by a money habit is that you know that you spend to much on..... or you give to much money to..... or you don't save because....

A money habit is something that you continually waste money on like smoking cigarettes, gambling, loaning people money you know you will never get back, buying to many shoes, clothes, electronic stuff because you in a habit of buying all the newest things that come out.

or you have a good money habit where you always put money away for emergencies, look for good deals and bargains, and only buy good quality things at half the retail price. shop only when you need to.

These are just some of people's money habits what is your money habit going to be this year. Mind is to put myself on a $20.00 gambling budget for the month and when it's. it's over. I spend way to much money on gambling. My other money habit will be to find ways to save so that I can open a Roth IRA with $1,000. I will keep you posted on How I do with my habits.

On that note have a great Cheap cheetah Week!

A Beautiful Sun Set

Sometimes you can get the most amazing view of the simple things that we take for grant at times. Things like a sunset. When I see this I feel that life is to short to worry about things that are not all that important anyway. So take a moment and just enjoy some of the simpler thing in life.

Free Marketing Class

I went to a free marketing class at the public library last night. It was part of a 5 part business series that shows people who want to start a business. I went to the marketing part and in the class the instructor gave us some very informative information. He talked about who you should market to, how to market and what works in marking and what doesn't. I enjoyed the class because you not only get to network with other people with business you get to learn things about how to market you business all for free. The library is not only about getting book and videos it's also about the different classes that they have to offer.
So see what your local library has to offer you in free classes you might be surprised at what you find.

Feed a Family of 8 At.....

I was reading a article about how Walmart is selling there turkeys for 40 cents a pound. They were also saving that Walmart was offering great prices on things like cranberry sauce, stuffing, dinner rolls. And pumpkin pie cake roll. The article stated that you can feed 8 family of eight with all the food discounts that are given for $20.00.

If this is true I think I will be visiting Walmart before thanksgiving and see if I can feed my family of 2 for $10.00 for Thanksgiving.

On another note. I got a surprises in my paycheck this week . It was a extra $90.00 bucks. It was a blessing and I planned on putting that money in retirement.

That's about all for now Have a great Cheap Cheetah Week

I Have A Love/ Hate Relationship...

With the public library. I love that they have great books, videos, cd's and old newspapers that you can read. Also it's a great place to do your research and use a computer for free. I love to read. But with me and the library I always return my borrowed material on time but they seem to always want to charge me for my returned items. When they do that I have to go and fight with them to find the material they claim they are missing from me and to take the charge off my card. Like I said I have a love/hate relationship.

Have a great Halloween be safe have fun and be frugal!

Happy Halloween

I know it's to early to talk about Halloween . Just wanted to remind you that Halloween is only one day and if you need a costume then make one be creative. Also if you giving a party for the kids make simple treats if the party is for the adults then everyone brings something and you supply the drinks and the games and the plates and folks. for the kids party tell scary stories and have scary music and contest with prizes. Also don't forget all this Halloween stuff will be at 50% off the day after. Now that's when you get all your treats and leave the tricks of the retailer in the store. Have a safe and happy Halloween
